胡雪岩，何许人也？他，杭州人，祖籍安徽。少年时是个穷光蛋！流浪杭州，入钱庄当伙计。或因聪明勤劳，或因财运亨通，后在浙江巡抚王有龄扶持下，自办阜康钱庄。又因力助左宗棠有功，受朝廷嘉奖，封布政使衔，赐红顶戴。慈禧太后，亲赏黄马褂，骑马紫禁城。后又创办胡庆余堂国药号，成为富甲一时的红顶商人。<o:p></o:p></span></p><section style="text-indent:
