19px;">6月28日，郭村战斗打响。四大队召开总支紧急会议，决定一方面由陈佐去郭村向苏北特委请示暴动问题，一方面由朱群去泰州了解颜秀五部的动向，另一方面，如果国民党顽固派调四大队攻打新四军或是向四大队下手，四大队立即暴动。29日晨，陈佐奔赴郭村。30日中午传来消息，朱群到泰州了解情况时，被颜秀五扣押于北山寺司令部（8月获释）。五支队长陈东生宣布港口戒严，同时调四大队一中队长施佑宇即日率部奔赴泰州，增加城防力量，限当晚8时出发。很明显，国民党顽固派要对四大队下毒手了。傍晚，根据这些情况，姚力和王澄在上溪村观音阁四大队部召开了党总支紧急会议，经过认真讨论，大家制定了暴动计划，并且一致决定于当夜12时整暴动，口令为“瞿犊”，由王澄任总指挥，姚力任副总指挥，总指挥部设在观音阁四大队部。</span></p><p 19px;">深夜12时，四大队兵分三路，接近各自的战斗目标。王澄带两个分队悄悄潜至支队部大门口，以迅雷不及掩耳之势缴了哨兵的枪。进入大门后，又缴了正在睡觉的警卫班的枪，旋即到了支队长陈东生的门口，门一开几支驳壳枪一齐对着陈东生，陈东生吓得目瞪口呆，只好乖乖地束手就擒。王澄随即在支队部小楼正式宣布四大队暴动。一路人员进入支队部后，立即切断电话并收拾了支队部的印章和文书，支队部人员驻宜陵时就对新四军产生了好感，听到四大队要投奔新四军，纷纷响应，马上准备行装，加入暴动队伍。还有一路人员潜入重机枪连驻地，缴获了颜秀五最心爱的四挺崭新的重机枪和其它武器弹药。凌晨4时，暴动胜利结束，四大队官兵无一伤亡。30日中午，四大队在港口镇张贴好“反对内战，打回启东老家去！”的标语后，朝北走水路到达董家潭，然后转向西南，在罡门由地下党安排的赵德贵同志担任向导，绕过敌军封锁线向郭村进发。</span></p><p
