style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">历史上，海门地区地少人多，更认“荒年饿不死手艺人”这个老理，以致后来这样的群体过剩：木匠、瓦匠、铁匠等等这些门坎矮，起点低的行业发展过快，到后来纷纷向外输出。</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">当年，干一天木匠活，仅得20个铜板，只能说基本温饱，付出的体力却极大。俗话说得好：“少年木匠老郎中”，过去，木工机械尚未问世，木匠生活，全凭体力，差一点儿力气，刨花都飞不起来，拉大锯是最费力的，到了我父亲这一辈，已是祖传第四代了。因此，“艰辛薄收，忙碌肘昼，空有一身好手艺，造屋千间自家陋”，是当年木匠行业的真实写照。</span></p><p><span leaf=""><br/></span></p><section style="text-align: center;" nodeleaf=""></section><p><span leaf=""><br/></span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">有次，两人偶遇，沈惠珍诚恳地对父亲说：“永祥，木匠生活太苦，又赚不到啥钞票，还不如去开车子”。</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">于是，由沈惠珍做担保，请了个“会”，自古有“吃煞会酒”的说法，可见“会酒”的规格是比较高的，连带沈惠珍在内，共计十个人，每人出40块大洋，合计筹得大洋400块。</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">三十年代的上海滩，由于众列强在上海租用租界，商务买办，带来了资本主义的繁荣气息，已是相当繁华，马路上清一色的泊来品汽车，让人目不暇接，眼花缭乱，十里洋场，名不虚传。</span></p><p><span leaf=""><br/></span></p><section style="text-align: center;" nodeleaf=""></section><p><span leaf=""><br/></span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span style="letter-spacing:0.544px;"><span leaf="">沈惠珍领着父亲在上海滩转悠，了解二手车的行情，专门往租界里的洋房里打听是否有二手车转让，深谙其道的沈惠珍知道，唯有这里的车子平时用得不苦，洋人或买办们又好摆排场，见有新款车出来，就想把旧车抛脱。因此，价格是不会很高的。</span></span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">不久，由沈惠珍等人发起，在海门县城注册，成立了海门大华汽车公司，专门从事出租汽车业务，主要跑南通方向和周围各地的生意，一度生意兴隆，客源络绎不绝。</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">不多时，为了让车辆发挥更好的效益，父亲收了个徒弟，他的小名叫申狗，姓宋，名维康。家住通海镇东北。</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">申狗来自乡下，从小舍得吃苦，为人忠厚老实，晚上跑车得的钱，第二天清早必定如数交与师父，从不留分文。</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">谁知一年后竟发生了意想不到的事：</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">众人早已在浪笑声中扬长而去，涉世不深的申狗如何能摆脱“姑娘”的纠缠，终不能自持，稀里糊涂地做了不该做的事。</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">就这样，一步走歪，步步皆错！惊恐、失身加上冷酒，因此“拆了风”，当即肚子疼了起来。</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">师父不知其中缘由，往日里，申狗只知学艺，不常回家，既然有事，当然允了。</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">糊涂的父母找来了土方郎中，土郎中但听是受了风寒，便给申狗刮痧，谁知这一刮，便送了他的命。</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">但没有依据又不便理论，幸亏，早有知情人将申狗如何、如何背着师父跟着“拆白党”“无聊”的事详详细细地说了个明白。</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">父亲反到怜悯起申狗的父母来，厚葬了申狗，又抚恤了申狗家，方觉心里缓了些，申狗家反倒觉得没有了意思，此后一段，终日里，父亲因失去了爱徒而长吁短叹，怅然若失，郁郁寡欢。</span></p><p><span leaf="">有《浣溪沙·失足遗恨》词为证：</span></p><p><span style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">不知什么时候起，荣宗敬，这个特别精明、又特别勤奋的小伙子在无锡落了脚，做起了给面食店加工面粉的买卖。</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">说来也怪，经荣宗敬磨出的面粉出粉率高，且比别人的白，因此，生意一天一天好了起来，一部磨子来不及，再添一部，依然来不及，扩大到四部。就这样，荣宗敬的买卖像滚雪球似的越做越大。</span></p><p><span leaf=""><br/></span></p><section nodeleaf="" style="text-align: center;"></section><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">聚得了第一桶金的荣宗敬，了解到代表当时世界先进水平的面粉加工机械是英国造，于是竭尽其能，又向银号贷了款，从英国引进了全套面粉机械，办起了中国第一家面粉厂，成了第一个吃螃蟹的人。</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">毫不夸张的说，当年全国吃的（粮食加工业）和穿的（纺织业）三分天下必有其一！</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">谁知，事情并非那么顺利，首先，要在无锡做生意，必须取得当地的经营牌照，这是第一关！当时的无锡，帮会势力尤其强大，跑码头，做生意，都得先找靠山。</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">这一招还真灵，钱能通神，送了礼、请了酒、入了门、免了忧。“同乡会”的特殊标记贴在车窗上后，一路绿灯，很快办妥了相关牌照；</span></p><p style="text-indent:2em;"><span leaf="">1933年，机会来了！这一天，海门“同乡会”传来一个振奋人心的消息：下一个月，荣宗敬庆贺六十大寿，将招募大量出租车为寿诞庆祝活动服务。</span></p><p><span leaf=""><br/></span></p><section style="text-align: center;" nodeleaf=""></section><p><span
