原来北京出版社担心夜长梦多，没等我写完这部小说便催着把图书出版合同签定了，真乃煞费苦心，令人感动！《元红》的小说结构以一条主线和一条辅线平行推进，基本上是按地点转换顺序展开的，这从小说目录上也可以看出来。全书共十个部分，最后部分“盐城”既是高潮，又有故事情节的反转，更是重要的收宫部分，我丝毫不敢有松懈之心。我是个完美主义者，收宫就得收得巧妙、结实，让作品余味无穷，让读者欲罢不能。</span></span></p><p></p><section 陈飞是位资深编辑，行动力非常强，十天后便发来反馈意见：一是收宫部分非常好，情节出人意料，情理上却恰如其分；二是本书体量上有些尴尬，出一本书嫌厚，出上下册略薄，为了便于定价，建议删掉几万字。我一听大惊失色，说怎么可以删呢，这不等于好好的一个人要活生生地割他的肉，截他的肢吗？他说不是割肉截肢，而是瘦身，使之更结实、更干练。跟着又表示北京出版社不同于地方普通出版社，对于图书内容把关是非常严格的，当年出《废都》因为操作不严，面世不久便遭到了禁封，出版社吃了很大的亏，你这本书也存在比较敏感的描写和容易惹上争议的内容，为了出版安全，做一些删减是必须的。我赌气地说我的作品我自己删减不了。陈飞在那边笑了，说不要我烦神，这是他们编辑的事，精减后的文本会让我满意的。我无可奈何，心想之前不说删减，签约后却来这一出，江湖上套路真多！罢罢，随他们去吧。</span></span></p><p></p><section
