17px;">这是金大膀子年轻时上河工落下的毛病。那时，队上组织冬天外出挑河，不仅工分高，有伙食补贴，还有劳动竞赛奖励，一个人苦上一两个月，能够管全家半年的肚子，这是大劳力家庭求之不得的好事。金大膀子仗着年轻气盛，身高马大，嫌毛竹扁担够不上分量，专门做了一副桑木扁担，几百斤的泥担子挑在肩上不当回事。慢慢地，肩膀便磨红了，磨肿了，磨出血了，磨成老茧了，他往手上吐口唾沫，揉揉搓搓，消消肿块。有老河工提醒道：“千万不能用手揉，手上的毒气和桑木扁担里的木气淤积到肿块里，会长成‘摸肩疙瘩’。”他哪里顾得上这些，回道：“家里五个丫头的嘴咬在我的肩膀呢。”</span></section><section 17px;">金大膀子当初也就想有个一子半女就行，偏偏老婆肚子不争气，一连串地生丫头。当他得知第五个生下来还是丫头时，气得火冒三丈高，捧起家神柜上的香炉扔进了茅坑。五个丫头怎么养啊？吃起来满满一桌子，忙起来只有两个老壳子。他只能在队上尽拣重活累活儿干，桑木扁担不离肩，为的是多赚一些工分，得以养家糊口，这样一来，“摸肩疙瘩”便愈加厚实了。他笑道：“瓦罐不离井上破，就当是桑木扁担的肉垫子。”</span></section><section
