17px;">老人家回忆泰州的童年生活：每逢初一月半，父亲都带着他去烧香，他跨在父亲肩上去寺庙，到了佛像面前，父亲都要摁着他的头来拜佛。游老的父亲是一位虔诚的佛教徒，皈依印光大师，父亲吃斋、念经、供佛都有严格的规范要求，在游老幼小的心灵里留下深深的烙印；游父在泰州东台一带从事盐业事务，靠一人的薪水养活一大家，游父1955年逝世，至今游老还珍藏着泰州居士林长、泰州民国篆刻大家杨浣石为其父亲刻的一方印章，见其物，如见一心向佛虔诚规矩的父亲。</span></section><section 17px;">游老返乡演出的第二天早上，时任副市长江正保在泰州宾馆宴请游老品尝泰州早茶。席间游老回忆他在泰州生活的五年，由于国难当头，年幼时又随父母逃难至江都小纪，以后又转移上海、昆山、南京等地。谈到从艺生涯，游老深情地对江正保说：只有小演员，没有小角色。他一直扮演配角，直到遇见“济公”才演了主角，他说他演的列宁也惟妙惟肖，说着就站起来模仿列宁演讲场面挥手演讲起来，引起在场人的拍案叫好。他心中最想扮演的角色之一就是泰州兴化人郑板桥。游老重返出生地，面对家乡人，如同回到了童年，眉飞色舞，感慨万千。游老兴奋地评说耳目一新的泰州，并对泰州宾馆的烫干丝、蟹黄包、豆沙包、鱼汤面赞不绝口，说家乡的早茶是他吃过的最好的早餐。</span></section><section
